This policy explains what Mawuu Cravings LLC (“Mawuu Cravings,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit mawuucravings.com, join our waitlist, take our quiz, or subscribe; why we collect it; who helps us handle it; and the choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Waitlist: your email address and, if you choose, your first name.
• Quiz and subscription: your name, email address, shipping address, and phone number if you provide one; your craving profile and snack preferences; your dietary restrictions and allergies; information about your cycle, such as the date your last period started; and the ratings you give the snacks in each box.
• Payment: Stripe collects your card details directly. We receive only limited information from Stripe: your billing address, card brand, the last four digits and expiration date of your card, and a card “fingerprint,” an identifier that lets us recognize the same card again without ever seeing its number. We use the fingerprint to prevent abuse of our referral program.
• Referrals: your referral code, and who referred you or whom you referred.
• Messages: anything you send us by email.
• Creator collaborations: if you work with us as a content creator, your name, social media handle, shipping address, and the details of our arrangement.

Information collected automatically

• Site analytics: if you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how you use our site, such as pages visited, device and browser type, the site that sent you, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect your precise location.
• Link tags: some of our links end in a short tag, such as ?ref=x. Your browser keeps the tag for the length of your visit, and if you join our waitlist, we record it with your signup so we know which link brought you.
• Email activity: our email provider records whether our emails are delivered, opened, or clicked.

Your health information

Your cycle dates, dietary restrictions, and allergies, and in some cases your cravings, may count as health information under certain state laws. We treat all of it as sensitive.

• We collect it only with your consent, when you complete our quiz.
• We use it only to provide the service you asked for: to choose the snacks in your box, keep them consistent with your restrictions, and time each shipment.
• We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it with advertising platforms.
• We share it only with the service providers listed below that store or process it on our behalf.
• You can withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it at any time. Because we can't choose or time a box without it, withdrawing consent ends your subscription.

We don't diagnose anything, track your cycle, or predict your body. We calculate a ship date from the dates you give us, and nothing more.

How we use it

• To choose, pack, time, and ship your box
• To check every item against the dietary restrictions on your account
• To process payments, refunds, and sales tax
• To run our referral program and prevent it from being abused
• To send you service emails, such as order confirmations, delivery emails with allergen details, and rating links
• To send you marketing emails, if you've agreed to receive them; you can unsubscribe at any time
• To answer your questions and handle problems with a box
• To understand how our site and marketing perform, using aggregated information
• To comply with the law and protect our rights

About curation. A computer program suggests the snacks for each box based on your profile, your restrictions, and your past ratings. When it can't find a safe match, it stops and a person reviews the box. This choosing of snacks has no legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run Mawuu Cravings, and only what each one needs to do its job:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to a buyer or successor if Mawuu Cravings is ever sold or merged; any successor must honor this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Analytics cookies stay off until you allow them. The details are in our Cookie Policy, and you can change your choice at any time using the Consent Preferences link at the bottom of every page.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• If we can't serve you: if your quiz answers show an allergy we can't safely serve, we delete them within 30 days.
• Subscriber information: for as long as your subscription is active or paused.
• After you cancel: we delete your cycle dates, restrictions, and craving profile within 90 days. We keep order, payment, and tax records for as long as the law requires, usually up to seven years.

How we protect it

We limit access to your information to what's needed to run the service, use providers with established security practices, and protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that yours never will be breached, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live in the U.S., you can ask us to:

• Tell you whether we hold your information, and give you a copy
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information
• Withdraw your consent to our use of your health information
• Stop sending you marketing emails (every marketing email also has an unsubscribe link)

Email [email protected] from the address on your account. We'll confirm we received it, may ask for information to verify it's really you, and will respond within 45 days. You can make a request through an authorized agent if you send us written proof of their authority. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

State privacy rights

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others, have specific rights over their personal information. They include the rights described above, plus the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, of targeted advertising, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We don't do any of these things, but you can still make a request.

Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with “Appeal” in the subject. We will respond in writing within 60 days and explain our decision. If your appeal is denied, you can contact your state attorney general.

California “Shine the Light”: we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Age requirement

Mawuu Cravings is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it; if you believe we have, please email us.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and email subscribers before the change takes effect. We won't use information we already hold in a materially different way without your consent.
